China Mobile invited the 2018 tender for centralized procurement （First Patch）of ordinary fiber optic cable—optical fiber and cable processing part in fiber optic cable. The estimated purchase quantity is about 3593000 cable km（about 110 million core km）,which is estimated to meet the 6-month need.

This is only the requirement of China Mobile in the first half year of 2018.According to the previous convention, China Mobile will possibly start the secondary centralized procurement for ordinary fiber optic cable at the second quarter of 2018, purchase quantity basically equal to that of this time. This means the requirement of ordinary fiber optic cable only from China Mobile is possible to exceed 200 million core km, an increase of 90% from 2016, reaching a new record high, which will definitely promote the fast increase of optical communication market at 2018.
